A dewar stores liquid nitrogen in bulk. A handheld flask is filled from it for each session and fitted with a spray tip or extender for the lesion being treated. Histofreezer is a self-contained alternative for practices that do not keep liquid nitrogen.
Hyfrecators and desiccators use high-frequency current for desiccation and coagulation of small lesions. Single-use tips and handpiece sheaths reduce cross-contamination, and a smoke evacuator removes surgical plume from the procedure room.
