This is a restricted schedule drug. Only to be sold to medical professionals. You will be required to provide your APHRA Registration Number/Scheduled Drug License.
Purified Vero cell rabies vaccine (inactivated) for pre-exposure (PrEP) and post-exposure (PEP) prophylaxis. Supplied as a lyophilised single-dose vial with a 0.5 mL prefilled diluent syringe (attached needle) for reconstitution; IM (and ID per official guidance). S4 — Prescription Only Medicine.

Indication & age: Active immunisation against rabies; registered for people of any age. Use per the Australian Immunisation Handbook and local recommendations.

Dose & schedules (summary): Standard IM dose 0.5 mL after reconstitution.
PrEP (IM): 3-dose (Days 0, 7, 21/28) or 1-week 2-dose (Days 0 & 7) regimen (not for immunocompromised). ID regimens are also described in PI/Handbook. PEP (unvaccinated): Essen 5-dose (D0, 3, 7, 14, 28) or Zagreb 2-1-1 (two doses D0, then D7 & D21); give RIG for category III exposures per guidance. Previously vaccinated: 2 doses on D0 & D3 (no RIG). Follow official guidance. -
Presentation: Powder vial + 0.5 mL solvent in PFS (with attached needle), box of 1.
Composition & excipients (per 0.5 mL after reconstitution)
3.25 IU inactivated rabies antigen (≥2.5 IU by NIH test). Excipients include maltose, 20% albumin solution, Basal Medium Eagle (incl. L-phenylalanine ~4.1 µg), sodium chloride, water for injections; pH adjusters (HCl/NaOH) in trace; may contain trace neomycin, streptomycin, polymyxin. No adjuvant or preservative added.

Store at 2–8 °C. Protect from light. Do not freeze.

Shelf life: 48 months at 2–8 °C.

Reconstitute with the supplied solvent; use immediately for IM (if ID, may be used up to 6 h at ≤25 °C, protected from light). Do not mix with other products in the same syringe.
