Inactivated, adsorbed hepatitis A vaccine for active immunisation in adults and children ≥2 years. Supplied as a single-dose 0.5 mL needle-free (NF) prefilled syringe with one separate needle; administered intramuscularly. Prescription medicine in Australia.

Indication & age: Active immunisation against hepatitis A in persons ≥2 years (see Australian Immunisation Handbook/PI).

Dose & schedule: 0.5 mL IM; 2-dose course — Day 0 and 6–36 months after the first dose. Deltoid preferred for adults/older children.

Presentation: 1 × 0.5 mL NF PFS + 1 needle (NF = syringe supplied without an attached needle).
Composition (per 0.5 mL)
160 antigen units of inactivated hepatitis A (GBM strain); aluminium (as hydroxide) 0.3 mg; phenoxyethanol 2.5 µL; formaldehyde 12.5 µg; traces: neomycin ≤2.5 µg, bovine serum albumin <50 ng, polysorbate 80.
Storage & handling
Refrigerate at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep in original packaging; observe expiry.
