A reduced-antigen diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis + inactivated poliovirus (dTpa-IPV) booster. Registered in Australia for people ≥4 years; supplied as a single-dose 0.5 mL prefilled syringe for IM use. S4 (Prescription Only Medicine).

Indication & age: Booster after primary series in adults, adolescents and children ≥4 years; may be given during pregnancy per national guidance.

Dose & route: 0.5 mL IM (prefer deltoid); single-use only. Shake before use; do not mix with other vaccines in the same syringe.

Presentation: 1 × 0.5 mL prefilled syringe; packs may be with or without needles.
Composition & excipients (per 0.5 mL)
≥2 IU diphtheria toxoid; ≥20 IU tetanus toxoid; pertussis antigens: PT 2.5 µg, FHA 5 µg, pertactin 3 µg, fimbriae 2+3 5 µg; IPV D-antigen units: type 1 = 29, type 2 = 7, type 3 = 26; aluminium 0.33 mg (as phosphate); phenoxyethanol 0.6% v/v. May contain traces of formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, polysorbate 80, polymyxin, neomycin, streptomycin.
Storage & handling
Store at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep in original packaging; observe expiry. Shelf-life up to 48 months at 2–8 °C.
