A reduced-antigen diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis booster for ongoing protection against whooping cough, tetanus and diphtheria. Registered in Australia as a 0.5 mL prefilled syringe (single or box of 10) for intramuscular use. Prescription Only Medicine (S4).

Who it’s for: Booster vaccination in persons aged 10 years and over; also used during pregnancy per national guidance. Follow the Australian Immunisation Handbook and local recommendations.

Dose & route: 0.5 mL IM (prefer deltoid). Do not mix with other vaccines in the same syringe.

Presentation: 1 × 0.5 mL prefilled syringe; some packs may be supplied with or without needles.

Composition: Each 0.5 mL contains diphtheria toxoid ≥2 IU, tetanus toxoid ≥20 IU, PT 2.5 µg, FHA 5 µg, pertactin 3 µg, fimbriae 2+3 5 µg, adsorbed to aluminium phosphate 1.5 mg (0.33 mg Al); may contain trace formaldehyde/glutaral.
